My Favorite Miya
In 2015, MERS/Missouri Goodwill employed Miya as a Temporary Summer Job league Coach, impressed by her performance, she was offered a permanent position as an Employment Specialist, then promoted to Program Coordinator for the Summer Jobs League Program, and finally as a WIA/WIOA Case Manager at Roosevelt High School in 2017. During that time, she was also worked as the Personal Assistant to the Director of Youth Services and a Job Developer at the Saint Louis Agency on Training and Employment. Banana Republic hired her as Seasonal Store Support for the 2012 Holiday season but, intrigued by her charm, offered her a position as a cashier until she resigned in 2016.
Before the formal establishment of Miya Elle LLC, from March 2017 to May 2019, she worked on the Operations team, as the founding Front Office Coordinator, at KIPP Saint Louis High School. While there, she founded and served as Head Coach for the Alpha Dance Team. She also helped as Assistant Coach and co-founded the Wolves Cheerleading and Track teams. Miya also co-hosted the 2018 KIPP Saint Louis Public Schools Annual Gala.
Miya Elle is motivated by the struggles that everyday people face and by the harsh living conditions in more poor communities. She feels it is unnecessary and that humanity needs to be brought back to our working environments. She continues to volunteer with local businesses and by helping low/no-income Creatives in need. She hopes to rebuild neglected communities through her work and uplift families by providing the tools they need to manifest their dreams.
